World's largest NVD facility, capable of Nickel Vapour Deposition of pure nickel utilizing Carbonyl generation and deposition onto precision machined masters.
Complex hollow shapes, such as tubes, can be made with thickness ranging from foil to over one inch. The nickel can also be deposited over pre-formed tubes, providing a finished part with complex heating / cooling circuits formed-in. NVD nickel is highly corrosion resistant, and, since the NVD process builds the shape atom by atom, there is little or no residual stress in the finished part. |

Weber Manufacturing Technologies is a mould manufacturer in aerospace, building products, and automotive markets. Founded in 1962, Weber builds tooling, Nickel shells and contract products. Process experience includes: Autoclave, Out-of-autoclave, Compression, Injection, RTM, Resin Infusion, Polyurethane Spray and PVC Slush Processes. Materials include NVD Nickel, Invar, Steel, and Aluminium.
Weber operates the world's largest Nickel Vapour Deposition facility producing nickel shapes in 99.98% pure nickel; for moulds or complex nickel components, including fine surface detail and textures. NVD cavities are used for automotive interior components that are "soft touch" or "leather like". NVD Nickel Shells for composite tooling has uniform mold face temperatures, beneficial to out-of-autoclave tooling applications using a proven method of creating conformal heating on the molding surface.
